Abstract

The main objective of this study is to highlight some characteristics of the United States’ labor market and to test the validity of a model describing labor market interconnections. The equations are part of a model which has been proven to be valid for the Romanian economy. We considered it worthwhile to test the validity of these labor-market relationships on the economy of The United States of America. The reader should be advised that this study’s purpose is not, by any means, to conduct or influence policy, but merely an examination of the current economic environment, which will be continued with a more detailed approach in the future.
