Sustainable development is compatible with tourism and can contribute in solving general problems but also those generated by mass tourism. The purpose of this paper is to present those forms of sustainable tourism with emphasis on demonstrating their utility and their importance as alternative strategies for sustainable development worldwide and in Romania.Downloads
